Ghana Link
As part of a British Council initiative teachers from Galliard,
Raynham and Wilbury Primary Schools were able
to travel to Ghana to form a link with three schools. Galliard is linked to
St Anthony's Primary in Hedzranwo, near Denu in the Volta region. The idea
of this link is to share ideas, resources, skills and develop a greater
understanding of each others cultures and beliefs.
Mr Anderson from Galliard, Mr Chanler from Wilbury and Ms Young from Raynham
visited Ghana in January 2004 and the teachers from Ghana visited London from
Sunday 7th March to Thursday 18th March.
In 2005, Galliard's Head teacher, Mrs. Rosemarie Hopkins and Ms Penny Sullivan
visited Ghana from 13th October to 21st October.
In 2006 the teachers from Ghana visited us again from 3rd June until 10th June.
